Intermediate Lighting Designer positions

Lighting Design Alliance is looking for creative, motivated, and talented team members for full-time entry level or intermediate Lighting Designer positions with exposure to a wide array of design projects. Architectural lighting design is an exciting, multi-faceted field that allows Designers to collaborate with some of the world’s best and most creative Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, Developers and Global Brands. Desired individuals should be well-organized, self-driven, and good communicators with excellent time management skills. Headquartered in Long Beach, CA, LDS offers a dynamic, flexible and creative work environment, with projects both domestic and international spanning across multiple sectors such as mixed-use, hospitality, civic, corporate, education, health care, residential, retail, and themed environments.

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or Theatrical Lighting.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with knowledge of x-refs, blocks, layer management and CAD standards.
• Excellent hand drawing and computer graphics skills, including Photoshop, InDesign, Rhino, and SketchUp.
• Knowledge and experience with computer-generated lighting calculations, preferably with the use of AGI32.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized with good time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team dynamic as well as independently.
• Ability to interface successfully with clients and balance multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Travel both domestic and abroad may be required.
