Project Lighting Designer / Assistant Lighting Designer

    EQUATION LIGHTING DESIGN is seeking an experienced Project Lighting Designer and a graduate Assistant Lighting Designer to join our creative team in London.

    We are an award-winning professional independent lighting design consultancy with over 35 years in industry.  Our current portfolio covers exciting projects in the UK and abroad including lighting masterplans, urban regeneration projects, commercial developments, prime residential schemes, retail, hospitality, arts and cultural projects. We collaborate with the world’s foremost architects, interior designers and landscape designers on prestigious projects.

    Project Designer 

    We are seeking a lighting designer with a minimum of 2 years of experience of working in a professional independent lighting design team, with a solid grounding in architectural lighting design, highly creative, great communicator and very keen to develop their career further.

    Assistant Designer 

    This role would suit a recent graduate in recognised Lighting post graduate course, Architecture, or a similar design discipline.  

    For both of these roles, a passion for design and the ability to communicate and present ideas using drawings, sketches and other computer visualisation methods is essential, together with excellent working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, AutoCAD and DIALux. An experience in Revit & Rhino would be advantageous.
