ABOUT US

L-PLAN LIGHTING DESIGN is an independent, award-winning and international lighting design studio based in Berlin. We work on a wide range of projects of different types and sizes in both Germany and abroad. We are a dynamic and creative team of designers and engineers with a great passion for lighting. 

ABOUT YOU

– Completed university education (Diploma / Bachelor / Master) preferably in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture or urban planning, lighting design or comparable studies

– At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in the field of small and large lighting design projects, ideally lighting masterplans

– Fluent in written and spoken English. Command of the German language would be an advantage but is not mandatory

– Confident in project management, creativity, strong communication skills, commitment and enjoy team-oriented cooperation

– Very good knowledge of the use of common PC programs, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop) as well as lighting calculation programs (Relux, Dialux)

– Very good knowledge of all relevant legal and administrative regulations as well as standards relevant to lighting technology

– Structured and careful way of working with a high degree of reliability

– Confident, skillful and authoritative appearance as well as assertiveness.

YOUR TASKS

– Project management in the implementation of lighting design projects

– Preparation and implementation of presentations for architects and clients

– Preparation and implementation of detail plans

– Preparation of specifications

– Coordination between specialist planners and other project participants

– Carrying out artistic supervision and site management

– Preparation of lighting calculations and cost statements

– Responsibility for the proper execution of lighting-related measures

– Control of quality, deadlines and costs

– Dealing with construction and lighting-related questions

– Technical lighting opinions, technical review of contracts, offers and invoices

– Knowledge in the areas of daylighting and BIM is advantageous.
