Rosco launches Architectural Lighting division

27th July 2016

(USA) – Rosco responds to industry growth by creating new specialty group with Amé Strong appointed Vice President.

Rosco Laboratories, a global specialist in lighting and colour technologies for the film, television, entertainment and architecture industries, has announced its creation of an Architectural Lighting division. “Rosco has been a part of the dramatic architectural lighting community for years,” said Edward Donohue, President of Rosco North America. “The addition of this division within Rosco demonstrates our commitment to this flourishing industry, and our interest in its continued growth.”

The Architectural Lighting division’s aim is to support architectural lighting designers in the creation, coloration and control of light in themed environments, new construction, retail and interior designs and hospitality – particularly via LED lighting products, effects projectors, dichroic & OPTI-FLECS filters, and control solutions for fluorescent and LED luminaires.

Amé Strong, most recently Rosco’s North American Sales Director, has been appointed as Vice President of the Architectural Lighting division. Strong has been with Rosco since 2003, when she initially joined the team to manage dichroics, colour filters, and other permanent commercial light-shaping/control applications. She also spent several years directing architectural lighting sales efforts at Rosco before taking on the Sales Director role. Strong’s responsibilities will include developing new architectural lighting products, line extensions to existing products, and consideration of strategic acquisitions that may strengthen Rosco’s reach and market presence. “Amé’s extensive leadership experience within Rosco, her visionary thinking, and her experience working with architectural clients established her as the perfect choice to lead this new division,” said Donohue.

“I am thrilled to take on this new role at a pivotal moment of growth in Rosco’s history”, said Strong. “It’s critical that we continue to update our infrastructure to best support our architectural clients,” added Strong. “The creation of the Architectural Lighting division positions us to do exactly what our mission statement promises; lead with innovative solutions, allowing creative people to achieve their visions. I look forward to this division taking our products and service to the next level, in order to continue to best satisfy the needs of the architectural lighting community.”
