Lighting Design Collective (LDC) used light as a live data visualisation at the headquarters for Finnish IT software and service company Tieto in Espoo, Finland.

The goal of the project was to find a way to immerse visitors and employees into Tieto’s primary product: data. The lighting was designed to express the company’s future-oriented narrative of capturing the opportunities of the data-driven world, and turning them into lifelong value for people, business and society. The lighting concept sought to provide high quality environments with unique light features as the focal points and narrative elements. The intervention therefore created experimental cyber-physical spaces where the key areas, such as the atrium and conference centre, merged the digital realm and the built environment.
