Shoreditch Design Week: What’s new to 2026

18th August 2026

(UK) – Running from 15–20 September 2026, Shoreditch Design Week brings together more than 100 showrooms, exhibitions, installations and events across LDF’s largest design district. This year it expands its programme with the addition of Material Matters at Unlocked, ND Select at Kachette and Neuroplaces.

New to the show

Material Matters will be making its first appearance at Unlocked and Design Shoreditch, showcasing groundbreaking innovations from using grown bacteria rather than a kiln, to biomaterial alternatives to plastic foams, and acoustic products made from post-consumer waste. The exhibition brings together pioneering designers, manufacturers, and researchers to present a more circular and regenerative future for design.

ND Selects at Kachette is a curated showcase from the design grad show, New Designers, bringing together Britain’s independent design businesses in their first one to five years of trading. Visitors can discover everything from playful furniture and homeware, contemporary ceramic collections and innovative furniture and products. The showcase offers architects, retailers and interior designers an early opportunity to discover the next generation of British design talent.

Those interested in workspace design should head to Design at Work by OnOFFICE located at Protein Studio, to explore how workspace interiors can enhance wellbeing, efficiency, and comfort. Meanwhile, C-habiting with Design Work explores Neuroplaces, a dedicated exhibition to neuro-inclusive and accessible design.
