Nulty: The Light Lunch Series – Thinking Sideways

18th June 2020

In part five of Nulty’s Light Lunch series, Daniel Blaker and Sophie O’Rourke explore some of the many facets that influence the creative thought process.

The importance of ‘influence’ is fundamental to how our minds interpret the world around us. Whether positive or negative, there is no equal weighting to what informs and defines us best. However, in a world of constant personalised algorithms and targeted advertising (under the guise of convenience), it is hard to know whether we are getting our ‘5 a-day’ in terms of exposure to new ideas and ways of thinking. Ways of thinking that ultimately make us more layered and informed both as humans and as creatives.
