(Germany) – With 29 years’ lighting experience, Ralf Knorrenschild will take charge of Sales, Marketing and Human Resources. 

Ralf Knorrenschild joined the management board of Selux AG on 1st February 2017. The 52-year old will be in charge of Sales, Marketing and Human Resources while Jürgen Hess (52), who joined the Selux AG board on 27th July 2015, will continue to be responsible for technical and commercial matters.

Knorrenschild was born in Hamburg and can look back on 29 successful years in the lighting sector, starting with his time at Philips Light in 1988 where he quickly became responsible for sales, before changing to the Zumtobel Group in Austria in 2003. Here, as the Senior Vice-President of Global Key Accounts and Business Channel End Users, he was latterly responsible for global key customer business and public lighting.

‘‘I look forward to the challenge of actively contributing to the development of the Selux brand as a premium manufacturer of sustainable lighting solutions for exterior and interior business, together with Jürgen Hess,’’ explained Knorrenschild. ‘‘The topic of IoT for example, the Internet of Things, will in future play a significant role in exterior lighting too. Working together with Jürgen Hess, I envisage huge potential for Selux AG here.’’

Hess, likewise looking forward to collaborating with his new fellow management board member, similarly sees Selux at the very forefront when it comes to technology, design and service in the lighting sector. “We share many ideas for a Selux corporate vision, complement one another superbly and the chemistry between us is perfect,’’ added Hess.
