SLL and ILP to co-host sustainability roadshow
(UK) – The Society of Light and Lighting (SLL) and The Lighting Industry Association (LIA) have joined forces to present a new event series that looks to move beyond sustainability statements, and focus on meaningful action.
Titled “Sustainability Unfiltered”, the event will travel across the UK, taking place in Manchester on 24 September, London on 3 November, and Edinburgh on 3 December.
Across the events, the SLL and ILP hope to “cut through the buzzwords” of sustainability, to explore the realities, challenges, and opportunities shaping sustainable lighting today.
Several of the UK lighting community’s most vocal advocates of sustainable practices will speak at the events, including Kristina Allison, Kael Gillam, Gary Thornton, Paul Beale, and Ali Kay. Focusing on practical, thought-provoking content, rather than highly technical deep dives, the overarching goal of the speakers will be to make sustainability feel fresh, practical, and engaging. Moving away from what has become repetitive or less exciting, and instead giving attendees ideas and confidence that they can apply immediately.
The Sustainability Unfiltered series has been sponsored by Erco, Fagerhult, Future Designs, Gamma Illumination, Holophane, iGuzzini, LEDFlex, Stoane Lighting, Whitecroft Lighting, and XAL.
The events are free to attend, and registration is open now. More information for each event can be found below:
