(USA) – Rochelle M. Spahn and Erin M. McCauley bring wealth of experience to new leadership roles.

Philadelphia-based lighting design practice The Lighting Practice (TLP) has announced the promotion of Rochelle M. Spahn to Associate and Erin M. McCauley to Project Manager, along with the appointment of three new lighting designers.

Rochelle M. Spahn, Assoc. IALD, MIES has been promoted from Project Manager to Associate. As a well-rounded designer, Spahn’s project experience extends through corporate, retail, hospitality and healthcare to civic, institutional, landscape, and exterior facades.

‘‘In this new leadership role, I keep in mind it isn’t about personal achievements; it’s about engaging with a team and keeping them focused and motivated to do their best,’’ said Spahn.

Erin M. McCauley, Jr. Assoc. IALD, has been promoted to Project Manager. She has worked on projects in various sectors, including healthcare, education, corporate, hospitality, retail, landscape, and exterior facades.

‘‘The Lighting Practice has provided a rich environment for my professional growth as a lighting designer,’’ commented McCauley. ‘‘I look forward to embracing my new role, along with the learning experiences and opportunities that it brings.’’

As TLP’s newest Associate and Project Manager respectively, Spahn and McCauley will uphold TLP’s design and customer service standards while furthering its mission to make ordinary spaces extraordinary. TLP celebrate the talent and creativity Spahn and McCauley bring to its team and the lighting design community at large.

‘‘As TLP has expanded and adapted over the years to meet our clients’ needs, we have been fortunate to find talented and motivated team members to grow our staff,’’ TLP Principal Al Borden added.

Along with the previous announcement, and on the theme of expansion, TLP have noted three new lighting designer additions to its team.

John Howell joined TLP after graduating from The Pennsylvania State University. His pursuit of a career in lighting design came from his interest in the technology, love of math, and desire to express himself creatively. Howell gained hands-on experience during an internship with a Boston area lighting design firm. Since joining TLP, his project experience has expanded to include hospitality environments and exterior facades.

Jacob Cogley, AIAS, is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University. A love for architecture sparked his passion for lighting design. He believes light has a significant impact on how architecture is perceived. Cogley has expanded his project experience at TLP to include retail and healthcare environments.

Jacob Lotkowski, AIAS, is also pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University. His interest in lighting design came from his desire to raise the profile of public design. He appreciates how a thoughtful approach to lighting enhances the built environment. Since joining TLP, his project experience has expanded to include retail, hospitality, and exterior facades.
