Trilux Akademie releases autumn seminar programme

26th August 2016

(UK) – Updated programme to offer seminars, webinars and theme days dedicated to latest lighting trends and branch topics, giving industry professionals access to diverse training schedule.

The Trilux Akademie is set to start its 2016 autumn training season with a newly released programme for the second half of the year. Running from September to December, the Akademie is offering an updated programme, which includes seminars, webinars and theme days all dedicated to the latest lighting trends and branch topics, ranging from light management to Human Centric Lighting.

Energy efficiency, light control and biologically effective light have fast become priority topics for all involved in the world of lighting. Today, light is much more than just lighting and demands professional expertise from both lighting designers and electrical contractors. Starting from September, the Trilux Akademie opens its doors to all lighting professionals, giving them the chance to build on their expertise by taking advantage of its training schedule.

Rebecca Ryan, Head of Trilux Akademie UK, explained the thinking behind the new schedule: “It’s no longer enough to just produce high quality luminaires for the market. In these times of ever evolving technology, in order to deliver optimal lighting solutions, it’s vital that we offer first class training that’s flexible and tailored to the industry’s needs.’’

Programme highlights

Light structures a room, supports orientation, sets highlights and creates mood and atmosphere, for this reason each room should have its own lighting concept to meet its individual functions. How lighting designers, electrical planners, electrical contractors and facility managers create professional indoor lighting concepts with the DIALux planning software is the focus of the Trilux Akademie’s seminar, Planning of indoor lighting with DIALux for beginners. During the day participants will become familiar with the fundamental functions of DIALux, including creating projects, selecting and implementing luminaires and calculating and exporting planning results. The DIALux introduction – with evo preview seminar also includes the DIALux evo software update.

At the Lighting & the Digital Revolution theme event on 27 October in Manchester the Trilux Akademie will provide an insight into the future of light and look at the role it will play in the digital revolution. Renowned lighting experts and Trilux specialists will discuss future lighting technologies amongst other topics and will also be explaining how manual override can be avoided. The free event ends with a networking session.

The penultimate event in the programme is the Lux Live Exhibition, which takes place from 23 – 24 November at London’s Excel Exhibition Centre. With more than 250 exhibitors and in excess of 8,000 visitors, the event is Europe’s largest annual lighting fair. Trilux will be presenting their latest products and innovations, while experts from the Trilux Akademie will participate in the fair’s live forum to discuss lighting topics such as Human Centric Lighting and shedding light on the issue of Maintenance Factors.
